Since last year, we in the DrCRM group have put student courses on the agenda alongside general courses, and we have started training student teams in the form of mentoring. With the effort and interest that students expressed, they are currently working with us in high quality executive projects and trainings.
A few weeks ago, we took on the responsibility of teaching and mentoring a team of 20 undergraduate, graduate and PHD students at the Faculty of Industrial Engineering, University of Science and Technology. The team is being trained with the ©DrCRM method in designing and implementing a customer relationship management system and will have the support of this group to implement the system in organizations.
Given that issues such as providing practical training to students and the relationship between industry and academia have been on the agenda for many years, there is still much work to be done in this area.
In the field of CRM, there is still much to do. Topics in customer relationship management systems are not taught in related faculties such as industrial engineering, industrial management, software, e-commerce, etc., or are taught through purely theoretical topics and references that will not enhance students’ practical skills.
